Allergy testing can help you find which allergens are causing your allergic reactions and determine a course of care. Allergy tests can be skin tests or blood tests and are given under the guidance of an allergy specialist. The skin tests can either be a drop applied to a prick in the skin or an injection under the skin. If a patient cannot take a skin test or is taking medication that will interfere with the skin test, the blood test can also determine an allergy.
